The first step is gathering as much specific information about your project as we can, whether over the phone, by email, or in person utilizing your sketches, your current plans, or just your ideas. Our main objective is to first ascertain your wish list, including the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, and home style. With that knowledge, we can begin to search for techniques and solutions for the layout that will not only satisfy your desires but also meet your demands by creating places that are as useful as possible while also fitting your lifestyle and personality.

After we have had an opportunity to review your project in sufficient detail to proceed, we will draft a proposal that includes the services we will be providing, an estimated time and cost for those services, and any other pertinent project-related information. We do require a 50% down payment to start creating your designs after the proposal is accepted; the remaining 50% will be paid after the project is finished.

A site visit is the next stage in the design process. The home's location, foundation types, garage locations, driveway entrance, route, etc., will all be examined during this visit. We will next use the information acquired during the initial meeting and the site visit to start drafting your new home. The floor plan(s) and elevation sketches will be included in the early designs so that we can ensure we are headed in the right direction.

You will be able to improve the layout's usefulness and individuality by using the preliminary floor plan, which will give you a unique perspective on how your spaces interact with one another. When choosing, for instance, whatever roof pitch best fits your preferences and style, the first external elevations are also crucial. This is also true for siding, masonry, and/or stone possibilities.

In reviewing your preliminary drawings, you will undoubtedly find elements that you will want to change. This is perfectly normal as you are building a custom home—one that is specifically designed with you in mind. No worries. We will go through as many revisions as it takes to ensure your home is the best that it can be.

We are prepared to give you the final plan once all the adjustments have been done and your plans have been carefully examined. Floor plans, all exterior elevations, foundation plans, and framing plans will all be included in the drawings. You are now prepared to move forward with your dream home by obtaining a building permit.
